The definition of telecine — as I am using it here — is equipment used perform digital transfers of film. It captures each frame individually in order to get the highest quality possible and to avoid flicker.
My telecine project is based on the rpi-film-capture project by Joe Herman. I found an article in IEEE Spectrum and was intrigued by his approach. There is also a Google Groups forum.
I forked the project on GitHub, and you can find the 3D models there, along with any enhancements I make to the software source code.
Current status:
- 8mm — Under construction. Have captured test frames.
